The UK startup, Southampton Photonics (SPI) has opened its speciality optical fiber manufacturing facility at Hedge End, near Southampton, UK.
The plant, which represent an investment of approximately EUR 11.5 million occupies part of the company's nex 30,000 square foot premises and will pimarily provide speciality fiber for use in its own products.
SPI's core competencies include Fiber Bragg Grating design and fabrication, as well as amplifier and laser technology.
