The series of European Conferences on Integrated Optics (ECIO) was started in London in 1981. Since then, the conferences have been held regularly.
After London , Firenze, Berlin, Glasgow, Paris, Neuchatel, Delft, Stockholm, Torino, Paderborn and Prague, the next ECIO conference will be held in Grenoble in April 2005

Over the past 20 years, ECIO became one of the most important and internationally recognized conferences in the field of integrated optics and applications of guided-wave photonics.

Grenoble is the home of many pioneering efforts on silicon based integrated optics and ion exchange on glass.
The region is now a leader in the more general field of Microphotonics Mark your agenda now to participate in this new edition of ECIO in the heart of the French Alps.
