MIGAS'07 - 10th session

The aim of this 10th session of MIGAS summer school is to address the Multi-Physics and Multi-Scale Simulation for NanoElectronics.
Topics:
• Calculation of band structures
• Ab initio: density functional theory, GW.
• Semi-empirical: k.p method and tight-binding.
• Electronic transport in nano-devices
• Classical transport : the Monte Carlo method – Quantum transport : Green's functions and Wigner equation – Process Simulation – Characterisation techniques – Compact models
This school is addressed to PhD students, engineers and researchers coming both from the university and from industry of the semiconductors.
Through a program based on lessons given by the best international researchers, the participants will be able to improve their knowledge in simulation for nanoelectronics. All the relevant information is given on the following web site:
