CESIRE (a French organization whose goal is to introduce experimental research into university programs) has been offering Grenoble University students the opportunity to conduct experimental lab work since 2000. More than 200 physics and chemistry students enrolled at INAC have participated in these labs over the past decade. Scheduling conflicts make the labs a challenge to organize, but they have nevertheless proven highly successful. INAC faculty appreciate the opportunity to share their love of science and research with young people, while the students, enjoy meeting scientists and discovering experimental research with the latest equipment. Some participants have later returned to INAC for their PhD or post-doctoral studies.
