Fluoptics attracts business angels
During its first financing round, Fluoptics succeeded in raising €750,000 from CEA Investissement as well as numerous regional business angels (from Grenoble, Lyon, and Savoie). Fluoptics is based at Léti and specializes in fluorescence imaging for use during cancer surgery; its technology can help surgeons circumscribe tumors with a great deal of precision.
The start-up plans to use the money it raised to finalize preclinical trials of a marker it developed in conjunction with a team from Grenoble University (UJF). It also plans to continue working with Léti on other types of markers and optical imaging instrumentation. Fluoptics plans to hire three new employees this year
