On Monday, June 28, 2010, all of Grenoble Institute of Technology-Phelma’s faculty and administrative staff will take a relaxing day trip to Sassenage. The goal of this outing? To help employees take their minds off work and get to know each other better. The 250 participants will be able to choose between a wide range of activities, including pétanque, orienteering, golf, volleyball, football, tennis, and baseball. An alcohol-free cocktail-mixing contest is planned, followed by a large picnic where everyone will bring their favorite dish. The day will end with the Phelmas d’Or awards ceremony during which prizes will be given to the winner of each competition. The event is intended not only to be a fun day out of the office, but also to help build staff unity and create a “Phelma” culture.
