Minatec centre: training

Centre for Continuous Training in Microelectronics and Microsystems (CFCMM) (INP Grenoble)
The Centre for Continuous Training in Microelectronics and Microsystems (CFCMM) opened in June 1999 at the instigation of CEA-Leti (on behalf of CEA), CIME and ENSERG (on behalf of INP Grenoble).

The centre is an integral part of the Minatec project.
It is currently located at CIME, under the management of INP Grenoble.

It aims to provide training courses, for all categories of personnel - operatives, technicians and executives, with technical or administrative responsibilities. Courses will cover all the skills involved in microelectronics and microsystems, encompassing design, technology, equipment, testing and working environments.

CFCMM added value resides in:
the notion of customized training courses combining theory and practice, assembled from a library of predefined, upgradable training modules;
real-life practical work in clean rooms, on design tools and testing equipment, complementing theoretical modules or providing an application for them;
pooling of university (CIME/INPG) and industrial (CEA-Leti) resources, enabling the centre to offer introductory to advanced technology courses.

Several schemes are already underway, in particular with ALSTHOM, ATMEL, SOITEC, STMicroelectronics and THALES Avionics.
Partnerships are planned with other organizations (INSTN, UJF, GRECO and other European centres) or firms. There are also plans to enlarge the scope of courses to include business sciences such as marketing, finance, management, etc.
