Minatec centre: training

CIME - Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (INP Grenoble)
At present CIME occupies premises belonging to INP Grenoble but it will move to the Minatec centre in 2005, with a brand new 700 sq m clean room.
CIME is a technology resource centre. It has advanced equipment for the design, fabrication, characterization and testing of integrated circuits and microsystems on silicon.
CIME aims to make all its technical resources available for training courses and use by research and industry.

Training at CIME
CIME is one of the largest centres in France specializing in the training of micro and nanotechnology specialists. It is a member of the National Committee for Microelectronics Training (CNFM) and provides support for initial and continuous training, and research.
A large number of university courses (trainining technicians, engineers and postgraduates) use CIME resources for specialist practical training in microelectronics.
Nearly 1,000 students and internees attend courses at CIME every year.

Research and Industry at CIME
CIME also acts as a resource centre for local research laboratories and works closely with industry.
Laboratories and companies can use its resources to produce and characterize prototypes of new components.
