Minatec centre: training

EEATS (INP Grenoble)
The EEATS Doctoral School - Electronics, Electrical engineering, Automation, Telecommunications and Signals - regroups PhD studies in these fields in the Grenoble area.

It is jointly operated by INP Grenoble and UJF, enabling postgraduates to work on DEA studies and theses in the following fields:
Automation and production technology
Electrical engineering
Microelectronics
Optics, optoelectronics and microwaves
Voice, data, images and telecommunications

At the start of the new academic year in 2003, a research Master's degree will replace DEA degrees, thus improving international visibility.

EEATS has a total intake of about 500 students, 200 on DEA courses and 300 doing theses. Some 90 theses are presented every year.
Students can work on their theses in about 30 different laboratories, with the majority concentrating on a dozen or so laboratories which include IMEP, LETI, LTM and LMGP, all of which will be located at Minatec.
A large proportion of theses concern research conducted at Minatec.

Minatec will be one of the main centres for EEATS. It will be home to the school's main offices and the administrative departments of several research topics.
